Here are some clips I like that demonstrate the work of Douglas E. Harding. I was reminded of him today and thought I'd share these.
He wrote the books, "On Having No Head: Zen and the Rediscovery of the Obvious," "Look for Yourself: The Science and Art of Self-Realization," and others. He taught little experiments you can do that are designed to direct you back to your true nature - and for me, I think they do a remarkable job of that.
At first, I thought it was just too simple, too obvious. But I believe that's the point. It's meant to get you out of thought and in to experience. If you sit with them, if you get out of your mind for just a moment (that is really all it takes!), you might just catch a glimpse of Who You Really Are.
If you're interested in trying the experiments, headless.org is the official website.
